TAC proves to be an invaluable resource for the industry, by offering two specialized programs dedicated to pitching: Fast Track and Pitch THIS! (TAC AnimaPass or TAC Only Pass required.)

Pitch THIS!

Do you have a great idea for an animated series for kids?

Every year, TAC presents Pitch THIS!, a program where two creators get the chance to pitch their new project to the TAC audience. In celebration of the OIAF’s 40th anniversary in 2016, TAC, Corus Entertainment's Nelvana and Toon Boom Animation teamed up to reimagine Pitch THIS!

Now a competition, the winner will be awarded an invaluable grand prize including:
Development Deal with Nelvana
Toon Boom Animation Software licenses for Harmony and Storybook Pro, plus training!
Entertainment Legal Services from Edwards PC, Creative Law (plus prizes for all semi-finalists)

To add a mentorship twist, TEN pitches will be selected and the creators paired with an industry mentor who will help them develop their idea.

All ten pitches will be presented on Wednesday September 20th for final selection during TAC, where two lucky contestants will be selected to take the stage and compete for the coveted grand prize at the official Pitch THIS! event on Thursday, September 21st. The finalists will be pitching to a panel of broadcasters and the entire TAC audience, which includes over 300 potential buyers and financiers within the industry.

The contest is now closed.

Fast Track

Speed pitching sessions for animation content creators.

If you plan to pitch a project, gain insight into what executives are looking for, find the perfect production company for your ideas, or simply establish important relations - Fast Track will get you there!  Fast Track gives you one shot to meet with each of your targets in 12 minute long "speed pitching" meetings.  Fast Track’s line up consists of producers, broadcasters and distributors from from across the globe! These executives come from a wide range of production interests and expectations and will be looking for features, shorts, and TV series. Target audiences range from pre-school to adult content, gender specific/gender neutral needs, and style ranging from visually driven to dialogue driven.
Fast Track is exclusively for fully registered TAC passholders. All TAC passholders will receive an email informing them when registration will begin in August. Registration is first-come, first-served, so register quickly! Fast-Track meetings this year will be 12 minutes, so each executive only has upto 10 slots for meetings over four sessions. There will be a couple of days between the email and registration launch, so be sure to carefully read each VIP’s profile/questionnaire explaining what they are looking for to ensure the most successful meetings possible! This is in order to set up sessions that will meet both their needs and yours. For example, if you are pitching a show geared towards a mature demographic, a broadcaster seeking pre-school content will not be appropriate for you.

Good luck  and happy pitching!

If you have any questions about Fast Track, please email tac[at]animationfestival.ca
Please no soliciting of services. Participants may be subject to a pre-screening process.

New Meetings : Visit TAC Registration on Wednesday morning to set up meetings with any new additions. We will not be hangling any more meetings via email.
