About Hoji Tsuchiya
"Hoji Tsuchiya is an animation film maker, born in Tokyo in 1984. He started making animation in 2004, and his shadowgraph animation "A Married Couple's Distress" won the Animation Division Grand Prize, Cineastes Organization Osaka EX in 2006. After that success, Hoji's work includes directing the animation of NTT Docomo's commercials (some of which were screened at Cineastes Organization Osaka EX), a collaboration with Doravideo, a joint production with movie director Yuya Ishii, and directing a music video for Mr.Understand. In 2011 his animation using the photocopier "Black, long skirt", was screened at the Ottawa International Animation Film Festival and "Elementary School Situation" won outstanding Performance Award from TBS Digicon6 Awards.
