Reblink (Augmented Reality Art Installation)
ReBlink is a brand new way of experiencing and learning about art, one that makes you look twice: once directly at the painting, then a second time through the screen of your smartphone as the image transforms into a 3D “remix" of the original work.

Now in the nation’s capital for the first time at the Ottawa International Animation Festival, ReBlink invites you to look once at masterwork paintings like Drawing Lots by Canadian artist George Agnew Reid, Astronomy by Italian Luca Giordano and Marchesa Casati by British painter Augustus John, then look again with your smart device to see something completely new, something that you’ve likely never seen before or thought possible!
Papa Frog VR

"How can we get back to the basics of good storytelling, in an age that's all about over-the-top graphics, multi-million-dollar FX budgets, and hyper-visual eye-candy? Is all that really necessary to engage an audience anymore? Have we become so dependent on the latest top-of-the-line blockbusters that we can no longer appreciate a simple but well-told story? Can a homegrown team of artists without major funding achieve a VR experience that can emotionally move its viewers? We think so. Introducing Papa Frog

Papa Frog is a simple, dialogue-less VR short that was designed to be minimalist in visuals and complexity, yet rich and full in story and meaning. In short, getting back to what MATTERS in entertainment; the power of myth, the power of metaphor, real stories with real roots that help orient ourselves with what it means to be human. - Even if you're a frog. Our VR short tells the story of success where it starts in your heart and mind. Along with hard work and perseverance, you will achieve your goal. Though, arriving at the end result may not necessarily be the way you planned.

At this year's OIAF we are presenting a teaser trailer of Papa Frog featuring some of our technical interactive features and the mix of photorealism and stylized rendering.
