Toon Apprentice Day: Sheridan College

Sheridan's animation program stresses the strong art and storytelling skills that underlie all animation, regardless of technique. Those skills are employed using the same software as professional productions.

You'll be taught by industry pros, using the same techniques and tools that you'll eventually need in the workplace. You'll also create your own scripts, characters and layouts, and produce your own films.

Toon Apprentice Day: Algonquin College

Algonquin College's Animation program focuses on teaching students the skills necessary to meet the high standards required to gain meaningful employment in the demanding animation industry. They are a performance-based animation school with an emphasis on acting and body mechanics.

This three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program provides students with training in traditional, 3D, 2D tradigital and video game animation techniques. The program of study includes animation, life drawing and design courses focusing on all facets of animation including performance-based character animation, location design, character design, gestures and anatomy studies.
