While you are here, why not rent a car to visit the incredible le Nordik Spa, set up some meetings in Montreal or do some hiking in the spectacular Gatineau Park?  Be sure to use Budget, the official car rental supplier of the Festival. They have a handy kiosk at the Ottawa airport.

Air
Flying into Toronto? Don’t forget that it’s a 5 ½ hour drive to Ottawa. Flying into Montreal? It’s a 2 ½ hour drive to Ottawa. For those traveling overseas via Montreal’s Pierre Trudeau Airport (formerly Dorval), transportation to Ottawa should be arranged in advance.

Once Your Flight Lands in Ottawa
The Ottawa city bus system, OC TRANSPO, also offers frequent service with the 97 bus that travels from the Airport to downtown. The transit takes about 45 minutes depending upon your specific destination. The fare is $3.30 CDN and exact change is required on the buses.

A taxi ride from the airport to downtown Ottawa takes about 20 minutes and is approximately $30.00 CDN.
 
Train
There is a train station minutes from the centre of the city that connects Ottawa to other cities in Canada and the United States. From theVIA Rail train station, you can take the 95 bus on OC Transpo for $3.30 CDN to get downtown, or take a cab that will cost roughly $15.00 CDN.

Bus
Greyhound will comfortably bring you to Ottawa from anywhere in North America. For information on buses from Montreal's Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport, call Greyhound or click here to visit their website.

If you need to get around Ottawa affordably, why not take OC Transpo? Visit their website for schedules or call them at (613) 741-4390. Fare is $3.40CDN (exact change required on buses) or you can buy two tickets at any of their Sales and Information Centres or at one of hundreds of retail outlets throughout the city. For those wishing to take a bus across the Ottawa River to Gatineau, one must take an STO bus (STO buses are blue rather than the red used by OC Transpo).
