Join the Kids Jury

The Ottawa International Animation Festival is inviting local kids to enter its annual Kids Jury contest.

Ten animation enthusiasts, ranging from the ages of 8 to 11 years old, will be chosen to judge this year's competition of short films or TV series made for kids. To be chosen for the jury, local kids are asked to write one paragraph about their favourite animated film.

Ten lucky winners and their families will be whisked away to the National Gallery of Canada on Saturday, September 29, 2015 to watch either the Short Films Made for Kids Program at 11 am or Animated TV Series Made for Kids at 1 pm. A Festival representative will greet them and talk to them about things they might think about when picking the best film or series.

After the screening, the jury will meet and decide on the winners! That evening at 7pm, the jury will meet at Saint Brigid's Centre for the Arts and present the award to the film or series they chose.

To enter the OIAF's Kids Jury contest, their paragraph must be submitted by e-mail: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , by fax: (613) 232-6315, or by regular mail: Ottawa International Animation Festival, 2 Daly Avenue, Suite 120, Ottawa, K1N 6E2. Contest deadline is 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Entrants MUST include their name, age and an e-mail address or phone number where they can be reached. Jury members will receive a full pass to the Festival and tickets for family members/guardians.
