The aim of the festival is to foster the development and growth of
animation talent found within our country and region. Our animators and
animation companies are among the most creative and successful in the
world. The Ottawa festival helps them achieve both artistic excellence
and commercial success.
We also seek to provide a means of inter-linking the regional,
national, and international animation communities. The festival exists
in part to provide an artistic and commercial forum wherein aesthetic
and artistic excellence, as well as commercial expertise, can be shared
and exchanged among these various communities.
Furthermore, we want to foster a greater appreciation of the art and
craft of animation among the public at large. One of the most respected
and venerable of the moving image arts, animation makes an unique
contribution to both popular and ‘high' culture. Our role is to create
a greater awareness of, and appreciation for, this contribution among
members of the public.

Du 20 au 24 octobre, la capitale du pays deviendra le centre de l’univers de l’animation. Le Festival International d’Animation d’Ottawa est un événement prestigieux qui attire des spectateurs du monde entier. Les mordus de films, les amateurs d’art et les adeptes de dessins animés ne voudront surtout pas manquer la superbe programmation de cette année. Les projections auront lieu au Musée canadien des civilisations, au Cinéma Bytowne, au Musée des beaux-arts, a la Cour des Arts et Empire Theatres – Centre Rideau.

Enfants de moins de 12 ans et ainés: 7$
Rabais au ByTowne, Musée des beaux-arts, et Musée des civilisations pour leurs membres. Des laissez-passez complets de Fin de semaine et Quotidiens sont disponsibles.
Les titulaires du laissez-passer ont priorité pour les places assises à toutes les projections du GALA (auxquelles assistent les juges et les réalisateurs). Les titulaires de billets Demi-douzaine d’animation ont la même priorité.
Le grand public peut se procurer des billets à tous les endroits du Festival 15 minutes avant le spectacle pour les GALAS et 30 minutes avant pour toutes les autres projections.

L’Animation Six-Pack vous donne accès à six billets pour le prix de cinq ; ET EN PLUS, vous pouvez éviter les files d’attente en vous procurant le laissez-passer prioritaire qui vous donnera un place en priorité pour toutes les représentations et pour le GALA pour toute la durée du festival. • Laissez-passer AnimaPass FIAO (220$): accès à TOUTES les projections,
présentations et ateliers réguliers, et aux événements spéciaux.
• Laissez-passer FIAO pour la fin de semaine (105$): Accès à toutes les

compter de 15 h le vendredi 22 octobre (ne comprend pas le pique-nique).

Pour
commander votre laissez-passer, vous devez vous identifier en utilisant la
petite case sur la gauche de votre écran. On vous demandera votre adresse e-mail ainsi

Une
fois que vous êtes enregistré et identifié, sélectionnez « Order
Passes/Commander un laissez-passer » dans le menu. Suivez les instructions
pour commander votre laissez-passer..
Une
fois que vous avez soumis votre commande, vous recevrez un courriel (ou le
propriétaire du laissez-passer si vous avez passé commande pour quelqu’un
d’autre). Une fois que nous avons traité votre demande, nous vous enverrons un
reçu par courriel. Le propriétaire du laissez-passerdoit présenter ce reçu afin de
retirer son laissez-passer au Festival.
Les propriétaires d’un
laissez-passer qui participent au TAC sont priés de bien vouloir remplir leur profils
de délégués TAC. Une fois que l’on vous a attribué
votre laissez-passer TAC, vous pouvez actualiser
votre profil en sélectionnant la rubrique prévue àcet effet dans le menu. Après avoir soumis votre profil vous pouvez accéder

Canadian Film Institute
The Canadian Film Insititute (CFI) is the parent and collaborating organization of the OIAF, and it continues to present animation screenings
throughout the year at the Library and Archives Canada . The CFI is focused on promoting and presenting regular public programmes of contemporary,
historical, and international cinema in the National Capital region.
Canadian Animation Directory
The Directory is an accurate and comprehensive guide to the Canadian
animation industry for 2007-2008. Researched and published by the
Ottawa International Animation Festival team, the directory is an
excellent resource for animation professionals, students, independent
artists, organizations, and industry leaders. It covers a broad
spectrum of existing and emerging production companies, funding

Appearance
The directory is spiral-bound and indexed to enable rapid location
of an individual, organization, or company within Canada. In addition
to the listings, advertising space will also be made available to those
interested.
Distribution
The directory is distributed by Telefilm Canada to television
executives free of charge at MIP-TV and MIP-COM. Foreign Affairs trade
representatives around the world use the directory as an important
promotional tool. It is distributed to key exectives at Annecy's
MIFA and at the OIAF's Television Animation Conference. In addition, it
is available for sale at the OIAF as well
as on awn.com and at retail stores such as Theatrebooks and Pages
(Toronto).
Listing Costs
One FREE listing was offered to any qualified company or individual
with additional listings available for a modest fee. Listings can also
be highlighted with logos or descriptions.
Animation Resource Centre
Missed a film in Competition or Showcase or want to rewatch it? Come to
the Animation Resource Centre located on the “First Floor” of Arts
Court adjacent to the OIAF office. With more than 8000 short films from
all over the world including many of the films screened at previous
festivals, Festival attendees can view any film on the blue couch and
faux fur armchairs!. The Animation Resource Centre is open throughout the year, Monday to Friday, from 9:30am until 5:00pm in Arts Court, Suite 120. Please call ahead to ensure availability.
