Synopsis:
There he was, the blind man. We could see, but he could not. And under the box, nothing -- or almost nothing.

Matthieu Buchalski
Born in the Northern France area, Matthieu Buchalski is currently working in Paris. His interest in animation especially comes from the freedom of modelling, that we can give to pictures; a freedom inspired by Russian animation or some French studios. We find in his aesthetic approach strong influences from the modern time (Picasso, Giacometti, Malevitch, De Chirico…). Thanks to his four-year studies at Supinfocom Valenciennes, he became aware of new techniques and kept up his taste for animation. He actively carries on writing new projects of films.

Jean-Michel Drechsler
Jean-Michel Drechsler comes from Nancy, in the Eastern part of France and now lives in Paris.Cinema has always attracted his interest and, long before his studies, he had tested to produce his own films with all kinds of means (modelling clay, basic special effects...). He already appreciated the work of some filmmakers such as Gondry, Scorsese, Coppola…His studies in Valenciennes even increase his influences to painters such as Matisse, Picasso, Schiele; but also to expressionists of German cinema and their acute sense of composition and lighting. After the Camera Obscura experience, he would like to carry on producing films and maybe one day teaching.

Thierry Onillon
Born in Paris, Thierry Onillon only left the capital city to study in Valenciennes. He is above all a literature, theatre and music lover (he often writes); he attaches a great value to the structure of stories and characters development, to production. Animation represents to him a way to add the movement and aesthetic of surrealism or constructivism, from which he takes his inspiration. After his studies at Supinfocom and the direction of Camera Obscura, he carries on writing and searching for new artistic projects in the animation area and even in the performing arts.
