Disney Animation's CG Character Animation: Past and Present

Doug Bennett began his career at The Walt Disney Company in November of 1995. He came aboard as an animator on Fantasia 2000, where he worked specifically on the Tin Soldier sequence. Since then he has worked as an animator on several Feature Animation productions including Tarzan, Dinosaur and Treasure Planet. Doug just finished lending his talents as the Supervising Animator on the character “Runt” in Chicken Little.

Bennett is currently the Co-Animation Supervisor for Feature Animation’s upcoming CG film American Dog. He is supervising characters that are in development for this project.

Before coming to Disney, Bennett worked on numerous traditionally animated features. His television work includes commercials, shows and specials. He has worked in Toronto, Canada and Dublin, Ireland.

Born in Toronto, Canada, Bennett attended Sheridan College. He resides in Glendale, California with his wife and four children.
