Annick Snell Manager, Coproductions and Acquisitions, TFO-TVOntario
The Canadian Market: Meet the Broadcasters
Fast Track Session 2

As TFO's manager of Co-production and Acquisitions, Children and Youth programming, Annick Snell works closely with distributors and independent producers to acquire and develop programmes that reflect TFO's educational mission and contribute to Franco-Ontarian culture. Her teaching background, combined with her well-rounded production experience since joining TFO in 1987 helps Annick focus the power of television as an educational medium.

TFO, TVOntario's-French language educational and cultural broadcaster, was launched as an individual network in 1987. It is the only Canadian francophone television broadcaster originating outside Québec and provides a Franco-Ontarian view for the francophones and francophiles of the province. TFO airs children's TV programming eight hours a day. Its Web site (tfo.org) features fun, interactive games for the whole family as well as educational resources for students, parents and teachers. With direct teacher liaison to the province's francophone school system, TFO provides a valuable set of educational resources.
