Jean-Daniel Eigenmann currently works for the International Coproduction department of Telefilm Canada. Of Swiss origin, he studied journalism in Geneva and photography & audio-visual production in Vevey (Switzerland) before crossing the ocean to work as a photographer in the Caribbean and New York. He then settled in Montreal and established a photography studio specializing in advertising, special effects and industrial photography. In the late 1980s, after many audio-visual programs for museums, corporate & public customers, he founded as a minority partner Poly-Productions, specializing in documentary retrospectives. The partners won a Felix Award with their 1st production for TQS, about Olivier Guimond. After 9 years as a Producer & Executive Producer in the private sector, he joined Telefilm Canada as a TV analyst. Aside from a one-year hiatus as Assistant General Manager of the National Film Board’s French Program in 2002, he has worked for Telefilm Canada as TV analyst, TV Unit Interim Director in Montreal, Analyst and Senior analyst for Television, Policies & Procedures and the International Coproduction department.
